Sharma Sweets Center

Sharma Sweets Center is tucked away in Nayapura. If you walk past the main junction, you’ll find us. It’s a busy little shop. Our focus is mostly on traditional stuff, like gulab jamun and barfi. Fresh milk comes in every morning from the local dairy. If the delivery is late, our whole schedule gets messed up. That’s just how it goes sometimes. A couple of guys in the back have been making sweets for decades. Recipes aren't needed anymore; they just know by the feel of the dough. The shop front is small and the glass cases are always a bit smudged from kids leaning on them. We don't mind because it means business is okay. During the wedding season, we’re up until midnight filling orders. It’s exhausting, but the extra money helps. There are no plans to expand or open more branches. Nayapura is our home, and one shop is plenty to manage. Most of our customers are known by their first names. They come in for a quick snack and stay to chat for ten minutes. It’s more of a gathering spot than just a store. The stove stays going and the sugar syrup stays hot. That’s our life here, day in and day out, making sure people have something sweet for their tea.
