We are located in Kota, Rajasthan, inside the Thermal Colony at D-285. It is a specific kind of neighborhood, mostly built for people connected to the power plant and the thermal works nearby. The office is really just a part of that community. Being in Kota, we deal with the intense heat for a large part of the year. Our work at Sem India involves a lot of technical and engineering tasks, often related to the local industries. It is not a flashy office at all. We have some old desks, a few computers, and a lot of technical drawings and manuals stacked up. The colony itself is quite quiet, with wide roads and a lot of trees, which is a nice break from the busy coaching centers in the rest of Kota. We spend our days working on projects and answering calls. Most of the people working here have been in the engineering field for a long time. We are not interested in sounding like a big corporation. We just like to do our work and go home to our families. Sometimes we sit outside in the evening when it cools down a bit. It is a very normal life here. We handle the paperwork and the site visits as they come. It is just a regular local business trying to do honest work in a specialized field.
