Satguru Confectioners & General Store

This shop is located on the Bal Mandir Road in Keshavpura. Since it is a confectionery and a general store we get a lot of variety in the people who visit. The school nearby means we see a lot of kids coming in for chips and those colorful candies in the glass jars. We also keep daily things like bread and eggs which the local families come for every morning. The shelves are mostly filled with snacks and biscuits but we have some household stuff in the back too. The shop isn't very big so it can feel a bit tight when there are more than three people inside at once. We have a small glass display for the bakery items like cakes and puff pastries. Sometimes the fridge for the milk and curd makes a loud vibrating noise that we have just learned to ignore. Bal Mandir Road gets quite busy during the school drop-off and pick-up times so we have to be quick then. It is a simple place and we haven't changed much of the interior for a long time. The paint is peeling a bit near the ceiling but nobody really notices. We just keep the jars filled and the floors swept. It is a nice neighborhood to be in and we recognize most of the faces that walk through the door every day to grab their daily groceries.
