Sanu Kirana Store

Down in Ramganj Mandi on the Kota Road, you will find Sanu Kirana Store. This area is known for its stone work, and we are right there in Dhabadeh where things are a bit quieter than the main city. Our shop is small and focused on the basics that every kitchen needs. We have big sacks of grains and pulses sitting on the floor, and we weigh them out for customers as they need. Sanu is usually the one behind the counter, making sure everything is counted correctly. We don't have a lot of flashy items, just the stuff that matters like salt, sugar, tea, and soap. The neighborhood is mostly workers and local families who have been here for generations. During the monsoon, the road gets a bit muddy, but people still walk over to get their daily supplies. We have a small fan that keeps us cool, but mostly we just get used to the heat. We know which family likes which brand of tea and who prefers a certain type of rice. It is not a place for browsing; people usually come with a list or just tell us what they want from memory. We write down the accounts in a simple ledger book for the regulars who pay at the end of the month. It is a very old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us and our neighbors in Ramganj Mandi.
