Salim Auto Garage

Salim Auto Garage is located on Suket Road over in Ramganj Mandi. We handle a lot of different vehicles here, mostly just fixing what breaks down on the road. It’s a greasy job, and the shop is usually covered in oil and spare parts. We spend most of our time under cars or messing with engines. The sun hits the front of the garage pretty hard in the afternoons, so it gets hot inside. We’ve got tools scattered around, but we know where everything is. People bring their bikes or trucks when they start making weird noises. We don't have a waiting room or anything like that. Most folks just stand around and talk while we work on their machines. Suket Road stays busy, so there is always someone pulling in with a flat tire or a leaky engine. We do what we can to get them back on their way. It’s not a shiny dealership service center. It’s just a workspace with a lot of heavy lifting. Sometimes we are busy until late evening if a job is tough. We’ve been at this for years, so we’ve seen almost every kind of engine trouble you can think of. It is dirty work, but someone has to do it. The neighborhood knows us as the place to go when the car won't start. We just keep our heads down and work. We have been here for a long time.
