Saify Clinic

Saify Clinic is located in Bajrang Nagar, which is over by the Police Line in Kota. Our address is Kota H O, 324001. We are actually quite close to the Bajrang Nagar police station, which is the easiest landmark to give people who are coming to visit us for the first time. The clinic is a modest space. It’s not one of those big hospitals with several floors and elevators. It’s just a few rooms where we see people and help them out. The heat in Rajasthan can be pretty intense, so we spend a lot of time making sure the air cooler is working right. The walls are painted a light shade of cream, though there are some scuff marks near the floor from people’s shoes over the months. We have a small sink in the corner and a tall cupboard where we store the basic supplies. The street outside is usually quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up in the late afternoon. We try to keep the door shut to keep the dust out, but it always finds a way in through the gaps. I sit at a small wooden desk near the entrance to greet people. Most of the people who come in are from the local area or work at the police station nearby. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been here for years. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name.
