Sai Nath Gift Emporium

If you walk down towards the Old Subjimandi area in Shakti Nagar, you will find Sai Nath Gift Emporium right there in Kasadia Kalla. It is a busy part of town, especially in the mornings when everyone is out buying vegetables. The shop is full of all kinds of things like clocks, statues, and little trinkets for kids. I’ve been working here for a long time, and I’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years. Some days are slow and I just sit and watch the people go by, but other days it feels like everyone needs a gift at the same time. We don't have a big team or anything, it’s just a couple of us making sure everything stays in its place. The shelves are quite full, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for among all the boxes. We don't bother with fancy decorations inside the store. It’s just a plain space with a lot of stuff to look at. I like it when the regulars stop by just to say hello while they are doing their daily shopping. It makes the day go by faster. Being near the subjimandi means there is always something happening outside. It’s a bit messy sometimes with the crates and the crowd, but that’s the way this neighborhood is. We just keep our doors open and wait for whoever comes in to look around.
