Sagar Saree

Sagar Saree is located right in Bheru Gali, which is one of those narrow spots in Rampura Bazar where you have to watch your step. If you've been around here, you know how it gets. I’ve been running things here for a long time, mostly just me and a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting. The shop is tucked away, so people usually find us by word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here since they were kids. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized. We have stacks and stacks of sarees that go all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes it feels like the walls are made of fabric. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. It's just a regular shop where we sit on the floor cushions and show whatever we have in stock. The tea stall guy brings us a few cups every morning and afternoon, which is usually the best part of the day. Dealing with the heat in Bheru Gali can be a bit much in the summer months, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We don't do anything fancy with marketing. People just come in, look at the colors, feel the material, and decide if they like it. If they don't, we just fold it back up and put it away. That's pretty much how it goes from morning until we close up late at night.
