We are over in Vijay Para, right in the Old Dhanmandi area of Rampura in Kota. Our shop is just opposite the Rajasthan Golden Transport Company. It’s a very traditional part of the city, so it’s always full of activity with trucks and loaders moving around. Being in Rajasthan, it gets incredibly hot in the summer, so our office is usually a place to hide from the sun for a bit. We do interior design, which mostly means we help people figure out their kitchens, wardrobes, and living rooms. We have a lot of catalogs and small pieces of wood and laminate lying around for people to look at. It’s not a fancy showroom like you might see in a big mall. It’s more of a workshop feel. We talk to people in a very simple way about what they need for their homes. Sometimes we go out to the site and get our shoes all dusty from the cement. We don’t use a lot of big words or technical jargon. We just try to make things look decent and work well for the families who live there. Most of our customers are locals from around Rampura or nearby sectors. We’ve been here for a good while, so we know which suppliers are reliable and which ones to avoid. It’s a small operation, just a few of us trying to do a good job for the people around here.
