Royal Confectioners

Royal Confectioners is tucked away on Arya Samaj Road in the Gurudwara Gali. It’s a small place where we spend most of our time making sweets and snacks. The kitchen area is right at the back, and you can usually hear the sound of pans clanking. We don't have a huge variety, just the things we know how to make well. The lane is quite narrow, so it stays a bit shady even when the sun is out. We have a few glass cases where we put out the fresh batches every morning. It gets quite busy when people are coming back from the Gurudwara. We don't do any fancy catering or big events, we just sell what we have in the shop. Sometimes we run out of things early if it’s a holiday. We use old recipes that haven't changed since we started. The floor is a bit uneven and the paint is peeling in some corners, but we keep the place clean. It’s just a local spot where people come for a quick snack or to take something home for their kids. We don't have any big dreams of opening more branches. We are happy just being here in the gali and doing our daily work. It’s a lot of standing on our feet, but we are used to it after all these years of running the shop.
