You can find Ratan Rai Gift Shop at 776 Shastri Market. The market is always loud and full of people, especially on the weekends. We have been in this spot for a good number of years. It’s a small space, packed with all kinds of gift items, from decorative pieces to simple greeting cards. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us helping whoever walks through the door. Shastri Market is a place where everyone is looking for something specific, and we try to have a bit of everything. The shelves are quite full, so you have to look around to see what’s there. We don't do much advertising, mostly people just see the shop while they are doing their other shopping in the market. It’s a bit cramped inside when more than three people enter, but we manage. We spend most of our day organizing the stock and talking to regular customers who live nearby. It’s a plain business, nothing fancy about it. We open the shutters in the morning and close them when the market winds down. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, but that’s just the old building. If you are around 776, you’ll see our sign.
