Rashid Stone

Rashid Stone is located at House No 33B in Cambal Garden. We are in the Waqf Nagar area, very close to the Madina Masjid. Since we are in a residential neighborhood, we try to be mindful of the noise, but moving heavy stone is always a bit loud. This business was started by my father many years ago and I have taken over the daily operations since then. We don't have a large commercial storefront. Most of the stone is kept in the area around our house. People usually hear about us through word of mouth from their neighbors or relatives. We don't spend any money on fancy advertising because we prefer to let our work speak for itself. Sorting through the different types of stone can be very hard on the body, but it is what I have been doing for a long time now. We are quite close with the people at the masjid and it is a nice community to be a part of. Sometimes we have to tell customers to wait because we have more orders than we can handle at once. We aren't a big company with lots of employees, so it is just a few of us doing everything. We keep all our records in a simple paper ledger. It is an old way of doing things, but it works fine for us.
