Rapid Electrotech Pvt Ltd is situated right in the middle of the action at Purani Sabji Mandi on Mohan Talkies Road 1. If you know the old market area, you know how crowded it gets. There are vegetable sellers everywhere and people shouting and bargaining. It’s a very lively place to have an office. We are located near where the old Mohan Talkies used to be. It’s a landmark everyone knows. Our building is one of the older ones on the road. Inside, we deal with electrical components and technical stuff. It’s a bit of a contrast to the chaotic market outside. We have shelves full of parts and wires. It’s not the cleanest or the most modern office, but it’s where we work. We’ve been here through all sorts of changes in the Mandi. Some days it’s hard to even get a vehicle to the door because of the crowds. We usually walk most of the way. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or marketing. We just focus on the technical side of things. People from the neighborhood and other businesses come to us when they need something specific. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for years. We know the local shopkeepers and often share a cup of tea with them. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. It isn't always easy, but it is what we do.
