We have been here at Bhamashah Krishi Mandi for quite some years now. Most days start way before the sun is even up because that is when the trucks begin arriving at D 328. It gets really crowded with all the farmers and traders moving around, trying to get things sorted. My family has been doing this work for a long time, and we just keep at it every single day. The Mandi is a loud place, full of people shouting prices and laborers carrying heavy sacks on their backs. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much, but you get used to it after a while. We handle various grains and produce that come in from the nearby fields. It is a lot of paperwork and physical effort to keep everything moving. Most people who come here know us by name, and we know them too. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and the scales for weighing. We make sure the accounts are right and the goods are moved out on time. Life here is simple but very busy. When the season is high, we barely have time to sit down for tea. But that is how it goes in a place like this. We are just a small part of the big market system here in Bhamashah Mandi and we like the routine of it.
