Rajesh Fancy & General Store

Rajesh Fancy & General Store is right at the Keshavpura Second Chouraha in Kota. It is a busy spot, and there is always something going on outside with the traffic. We carry a mix of general grocery items and "fancy" things like hair clips, bangles, and small gift items. Because of this variety, our shop is always a bit colorful and messy. We have things hanging from the ceiling and stacked on the floor. It might take a minute to find exactly what you want, but we usually know where everything is hidden. Kota can be very hot, especially in the afternoons, so the shop is a bit quieter then. We use that time to restock or clean up the dust that blows in from the Chouraha. We do not have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just put a board outside and wait for people to come in. Most of our customers are students from the nearby hostels or families living in the Keshavpura area. We try to keep things affordable because we know everyone is on a budget. Sometimes we run out of coins for change, which is a bit of a headache, but we manage. It is a local shop through and through. We enjoy the talk and the noise of the crossroads. If you need a quick notebook or a packet of biscuits, we are the place people usually think of. It is just how we have done things.
