Rajasthan Namkeen & Sweet Center

Our place, Rajasthan Namkeen & Sweet Center, sits over at Kherli Phatak 4. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We spend a lot of our time behind the counter. There are sweets on one side and salty snacks on the other. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us here on the floor. The traffic at Kherli Phatak can be a bit much sometimes, but it brings people to our door. We see a lot of commuters and folks living nearby. We start our prep work while the sun is still coming up. There is a lot of frying and mixing to do before the doors open. We don't write down fancy stories about what we do. We just make the food and put it out for sale. Sometimes we have a long line, and other times it’s quiet enough to sit and read the paper for a bit. We like the balance of it. The shop is decorated simply because we don't need much to get through the day. Every evening we clean up and get ready for the next day. It’s a cycle that we have gotten used to. We’ve been at Kherli Phatak 4 for a good while now. Most people in the neighborhood know the spot. We are just regular people making a living. No big secrets or special techniques, just doing the work the way it’s supposed to be done. We appreciate the people who stop by to see us. It keeps the business moving forward.
