Located in Market No. 6 in Ramganjmandi, this is where we spend most of our time. This market is the heart of the stone trade in this region. We aren't a big corporation; it’s more of a traditional setup where we know our neighbors and the people who come to buy from us. Our day is filled with the sounds of the market and the sight of stone being moved on carts and trucks. We keep our records in simple books and spend a lot of time just talking to people who stop by the shop. It is a bit crowded in Market No. 6, but that is how it has always been. We handle the local stone that this area is known for. Some days are very busy with lots of loading, and other days we just sit and wait for the right person to come along. We don't use any fancy sales talk. If someone likes the stone we have, we talk about the price and get it moved. It is a simple way of doing business that has worked for us for a long time. The dust from the stone is part of our lives, and we don't mind it much anymore. It's just what we do here in Ramganjmandi. It is honest work and it keeps the family going through the year.
