Punit Gift & Toys

If you are walking along Main Road Gumanpura, you will eventually find Punit Gift & Toys. We have been in this same location for quite a while. The shop is basically full of toys and different kinds of gift items. It is a very noisy part of town with all the cars and bikes constantly going past the front door. We keep the doors wide open usually so we can see what is happening out on the street. Kids often drag their parents inside when they see the colorful toys in the front window. We try to keep the stuff they like at eye level so they can see it better. It gets messy quickly because children touch everything they can reach, but that is just how it goes here. We spend our evenings putting things back in their right boxes. The shelves are packed pretty tight from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it is even hard for us to find something specific if we have not seen it in a few days. We usually know where everything is though. It is a basic shop, nothing like those giant stores you see in the city malls. We have a lot of regular customers from the neighborhood who come in for birthday presents. We do a lot of gift wrapping with that shiny colorful paper. The tape dispenser is always running out when we need it most. It is just a busy life on the road.
