Pramod Roadlines

Pramod Roadlines is based out of Pratap Nagar, near the Keshavpura Bypass on Ajmer Road. This location is perfect for us because the trucks can get right onto the main highway without having to navigate through the middle of the city. Our office is right there by the road, so we see the traffic passing by all day and night. It’s a very practical spot. We don't have any big signs or neon lights. It’s just a simple building where we manage the roadline operations. Most of what we do is coordinating long-distance trips for our fleet. My brother and I usually handle the bookings, and we have a small room where the drivers can sleep if they arrive late at night. The air is always a bit dusty from the bypass, but you get used to it. We have a desk that’s piled high with logs and receipts. We don’t use any fancy software; we just keep track of things in big ledgers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I suppose, but it works for us and we haven't lost a load yet. People around here know us as the guys by the bypass. We spend a lot of time drinking chai and talking to the mechanics who work nearby. It’s a community of people who live on the road, and we’re just a small part of it. We keep our heads down and work.
