Prabhu Kirana Store

Started the shop on Jhalawar Road near the old Prpurana Motor Garriage years ago. It’s not a big fancy supermarket, just a regular place where people come to get their lentils, flour, and tea leaves. The road outside is always busy with traffic and people heading towards the city. You can hear the mechanics at the motor garage banging on metal all day long. We keep the shop open from early morning till quite late at night because you never know when someone might need a packet of milk or some sugar. The shelves are mostly wood and have been there since we opened. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the jars. It’s mostly just me and my cousin running things here. We have a small bench outside where older folks sometimes sit and chat while we pack their groceries. We don't have everything, but we keep the basics that every kitchen needs. If a bag of rice is too heavy, we help carry it to the customer’s cycle or scooter. It’s a simple life and we like knowing the people who live around here. We know who likes which brand of tea and who usually forgets to bring their own bag. The shop is a bit cramped but it works for us and the neighborhood. It stays pretty loud out there, but we are used to the noise by now.
