Porwal General Store

We are located at 205, right above the Chawani Police Chouki in the Ramchandrapura area of Kota. It is a well-known spot in Chawani. Being situated above the police post makes it easy for people to find us. We have been operating this general store for many years. Kota is a place where a lot of students live, so we keep a lot of stationery items like pens, notebooks, and registers along with our usual grocery stock. We also sell things like buckets, mops, and other household essentials. The shop is usually quite busy in the mornings and then again in the evening. Rajasthan can be very hot, especially in the summer months, so we try to keep the shop as cool as possible with a small water cooler. My nephew helps me run the place, and we do most of the heavy lifting ourselves. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just a local family-run shop. Sometimes the shelves look a bit messy because we have so much stuff packed in, but we know where everything is. We don't spend money on advertising; word of mouth in the Chawani area is enough for us. It’s a busy life, and we are usually here from eight in the morning until nine at night. We just provide the basics that the neighborhood needs without any complicated processes or fancy sales talk.
