Over in Kota Brajrajpura, you will find Poonam Jari Kala Cendra. We’ve been operating out of this same spot for many years now. It’s a traditional kind of place, where the work is done with a lot of patience. The walls have some cracks and the floor is a bit worn, but that just shows how much time we’ve spent here. We don't have a website with flashy photos or a social media manager. We just have our hands and the tools we use every day. People around Kota know us for the work we do, and we mostly get new visitors by word of mouth. We don’t spend money on advertising because we’d rather just let the work speak for itself. It’s a quiet life for the most part, though things can get hectic when a big order comes in. We all sit together and drink tea during the breaks, talking about the weather or local news. It’s a small team, more like a family than a business really. We don’t have any fancy titles on our business cards. In fact, most of us don’t even have business cards. We just tell people where we are and they find us. Brajrajpura is home to us, and we don't see ourselves moving anywhere else anytime soon. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one piece at a time, until the day is done.
