Pihu Kirana Store

Our shop is located at G 19 on Meera Market Road, right here in Teachers Colony. Being so close to the Govt School means we see a lot of kids and parents passing by every day. It’s a small spot, Shop No 2, but we try to keep it organized with all the basic kirana items like rice, dals, and oils. The weather in Kota can get really intense, so we usually have the cooler running to keep things decent inside. We spend a lot of our time sitting behind the counter or moving sacks of grain around to make space for new stock. Every morning, we sweep the front step because the road dust just settles everywhere. It’s a simple routine of opening up, checking the expiry dates on the milk and bread, and waiting for the neighbors to stop by. Sometimes people just come in for a quick packet of biscuits or a single pen for their kids. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a couple of us making sure everything is where it should be. The shelves are packed with all kinds of stuff, from soaps to spices. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic on Meera Market Road, but you get used to it after a while. We focus on the daily chores and making sure we don't run out of the things people ask for most. It’s just a regular neighborhood store trying to keep things steady.
