Pathak Sweets & Vegetable

In the middle of Patanpole, you will find our place, which is Pathak Sweets & Vegetable. It is a bit of an unusual mix, I guess, having both fresh vegetables and sweets in the same spot. But it seems to work well for the people who live around here in this neighborhood. They can pick up what they need for their dinner and get a little something sweet at the same time. The streets here in Patanpole are very narrow and they are always full of people walking or riding on their scooters. We have to get our vegetables very early from the market so they are still fresh when we open the doors. The sweets are made in the back area throughout the day. It is a small space, so we have to be very careful with where we put the crates of greens and the trays of sweets. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when everyone comes in at once after the work day ends. We do not have a big fancy sign, just the name on the wall. We have been part of this community for a long time. We know which neighbors like which vegetables and who has a sweet tooth. It is a lot of work to manage both sides of the shop, but we like being busy. We are just a simple shop for the local folks in Patanpole.
