Even though the name says Paschim Gujrat Vij Company Limited from Rajkot, the place we are working out of right now is actually in Kota, Rajasthan. We are located at 656, Mahaveernagar-2. It is a regular street in a busy part of the city. Most of our time is spent dealing with the power and utility side of things, making sure stuff stays running. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with on a daily basis. The office in Raj 324005 isn't anything fancy to look at. Just some desks and files everywhere. Working for a big utility like this means there is always a line of people or a phone ringing with questions about their bills or connections. We try to get through it as fast as we can. It’s a bit of a trek from the main Gujarat office, but we handle the tasks assigned to this Kota branch. The staff here has been around for a few years, so we know the local area of Mahaveernagar pretty well. It's not the kind of job where things are quiet. There is always some technical issue to track or a customer to help out. We just show up, do the shifts, and go home. It's practical work that people rely on even if they don't think about it much.
