Pankaj Scrap Traders

We have been running Pankaj Scrap Traders for a long time now. Our yard is right on Gumanpura Road, specifically on Road 2 at 43 A. It is not the cleanest place in the world, but scrap business never is. There is always a lot of dust and the smell of old iron around here. We deal with all kinds of metal waste and things people just don't want in their houses anymore. Sometimes it is old pipes from a renovation and other times it is just a bunch of rusted tins. We spend our days weighing things on the big scale out front. It is hard work and your hands are always dirty by lunch time. My brother and I usually handle the heavy lifting while a couple of helpers sort through the piles. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit over the years but we are still in the same spot. When it rains, the ground gets muddy and everything moves a bit slower. We don't have a fancy office or any of those modern computers. We just use a simple notebook to keep track of what comes in and what goes out. People from around here know they can just stop by if they have something to sell. We don't do any big advertisements. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun but it still tells people where we are. It’s just a basic local business trying to make a living.
