Nidhi General Store

Nidhi General Store is easy to find because we are right across from the Ramdev Ji Temple here in Kaithun, Kota. It’s a nice spot to be, especially during festival times when the whole street comes alive with people. We mostly serve the local families who live within walking distance. Our shelves are packed with everything from school supplies for the kids to cooking oil and spices for the kitchen. We aren't a big fancy operation, just a local shop that’s been around for a good many years. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the people going to the temple, and other days we can barely keep up with the demand at the counter. We don't have any corporate training or anything like that, we just treat people like they are our neighbors. If someone is short a few rupees, we usually just tell them to bring it next time they pass by. That’s just the kind of place this is. We like being part of the Kaithun community and knowing everyone. The store might look a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. It’s a busy life, keeping track of all the small items like matches and candies, but it’s what we know. We don't need a lot of marketing because everyone knows the store near the temple. We’re just here to provide the basics and be a friendly face in the village.
