National Security System

The shop sits right in the middle of 45 Shopping Centre, and honestly, it’s a bit of a squeeze with all the boxes we keep around. Most days start with opening up the shutters and seeing who’s already waiting around the corridor. We’ve been here at National Security System for a while now, surrounded by other shops and the constant noise of people walking past. It’s not a quiet place, but you get used to the rhythm of the mall. We spend a lot of time looking at wires, sensors, and those little glass lenses that go into cameras. The desk is usually covered in manuals that we’ve read a hundred times. We aren't big on fancy displays or bright lights; we just have what people need piled up where we can find it. Sometimes the neighbors from the clothing store next door come by for a chat while we’re sorting out a tricky bit of hardware. It’s a regular life, really. We handle the paperwork, answer the phone when it rings—which is often—and try to keep everything organized, even if the shelves look a bit cluttered to an outsider. It’s just us here, working through the list of things to do, making sure the equipment is ready to go out. The air conditioner hums in the corner, sometimes making a rattling sound we’ve learned to ignore, and that’s pretty much the daily scene for us at the shopping centre. It is just a local business doing its thing.
