Nagar Kirana Store

Nagar Kirana Store is right here on Chhawani Road in the Koshal Kishor Nagar area. We opened this place because the neighborhood needed a spot to grab daily things without going too far. It’s a family-run thing. You’ll usually see me or my son behind the counter. We stock the basics like lentils, rice, soaps, and biscuits. The shelves are a bit cramped because we try to fit as much as we can in the small space. Sometimes it’s hard to find things if you don’t know where they are, but we know every jar and packet. Chhawani Road gets a lot of dust from the passing trucks, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the packets. Customers come in for a kilo of sugar or maybe just a single matchbox. We know most of the families around Koshal Kishor Nagar by name. It’s nice when the kids come in after school for a small snack. We don’t have a fancy billing system; we just write things down in a notebook if someone is paying at the end of the month. The fan in the ceiling squeaks a bit, but it keeps the air moving. We stay open pretty late because people always forget something they need for dinner. It’s a quiet life, mostly just weighing out grains and chatting with the neighbors who stop by for their weekly supplies. We’ve been here a while and don’t plan on going anywhere. It’s just how things are.
