Munish Medicos

Munish Medicos is right here on Sheela Chodhry Road in Talwandi. We are basically just across from where Dr. Suresh Lalvani has his place. It gets quite busy on this side of Kota because of all the people coming and going for checkups. Most of the day is just spent looking at prescriptions and finding the right strips of tablets on the shelves. Sometimes the handwriting on those notes is hard to read but we manage somehow. The shop isn't fancy or anything like that. We have those glass counters and stacks of boxes that always seem to need rearranging. It stays pretty warm in the afternoons, so the fan is always running. People come in asking for all sorts of things, not just medicine, but sometimes just a bottle of water or some band-aids because they are in a hurry. Talwandi is a crowded area and there’s always noise from the scooters outside. We open up early and stay till late because that’s when people need things the most. My hands are usually a bit dusty from handling the cardboard cartons that come in every morning from the suppliers. It’s just how it is working in a medical shop in this part of town. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights, just the usual stuff you expect to see in a local chemist shop. It’s a bit of a small space but we have lived in this area for a long time now. We usually take turns eating lunch in the back so the front is never empty.
