You can find us at 101 - A in the Indira Market over in R K Puram. We deal with handloom work and Masuriya sarees, which is what the name Modern Masuriya Saree Works & Handloom is all about. The shop is tucked away in the market, and it has that specific smell of old wood and fresh fabric. We have been here for a long time, and the walls show a bit of wear and tear. It’s not a polished showroom like you see in the big malls. We have looms and stacks of thread, and things can get a bit messy when we are in the middle of a project. Most of our day is spent either at the loom or talking to people who come in looking for something handmade. R K Puram is a busy area, but once you step into the market, it feels a bit different. We don't use any fancy marketing talk because we just let the work speak for itself. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, which can be tiring on the eyes. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most famous place. We just want to keep doing the handloom work that we know how to do. The stools are a bit rickety, and the fan makes a clicking noise, but it's our place. It’s just a simple workshop and store in Indira Market where we show up every morning.
