Stone International Export Company

Stone International Export Company is located over at No. 6a4 Range Badi Yojana, right in the MLA Colony. It’s a decent area, though it can get pretty dusty with all the stone we handle. We’ve got stacks of slabs and crates sitting around most of the time. Working with stone is heavy business, literally. You spend a lot of your day making sure the forklifts are running and the guys are wearing their boots. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not; we just move stone from one place to another. The office is small and usually has a thin layer of dust on the windows, no matter how much we wipe them down. People in the MLA Colony probably know us by the sound of the trucks backing up. It’s a lot of coordination to get these heavy loads ready for shipping. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to cover everything up quickly. We keep track of everything in big ledgers and on the wall calendar. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a script. You just call and one of us picks up. Usually, we’re out back checking the inventory or talking to the drivers about the routes. It’s just how we run things here day in and day out, making sure the stone gets where it needs to go. It isn't always easy work, but we stay busy.
