Meenal General Store

We are located in Mahaveer Nagar Second right near the Sabjimandi here in Kota City. Being next to the vegetable market means it is always very loud and busy especially in the mornings when the farmers are bringing in their produce. People finish buying their vegetables and then they walk over to Meenal General Store to get their oil or spices or whatever else they need for dinner. It is a very lively place to be even if it is a bit chaotic with all the carts and people shouting. Our shop is quite small but we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves so people have choices. We have a lot of different soaps and shampoos and household cleaners along with the usual kirana items. The floor is often a bit dirty because of all the foot traffic from the mandi but we sweep it when we get a chance. My family helps out during the peak hours because one person cannot handle all the people at the counter. We have a lot of old customers who have been coming to us since we first opened and they like to stand and talk while we pack their bags. It is a hot and noisy job but we like being right in the middle of the market where everything is happening. There is never a dull moment when you are sitting this close to the Sabjimandi in Rajasthan.
