If you head down Mohan Takies Road toward the Purani Sabji Mandi, you will find us there at Mangla Shree. It is a very old part of the city, and it is always crowded with people buying vegetables and goods. The street is narrow and can be a bit of a mess, especially in the mornings. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them, and the paint is peeling in the corners. We’ve been here for a long time, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit. There used to be an old cinema nearby, which is where the road gets its name. Now it’s mostly just small shops like ours. We don't have a computer system; we still use hand-written bills for everything. It’s just the way we have always done it. We know the other shopkeepers well, and we often share a newspaper in the morning. People come in and talk about the news or the weather while they wait. It’s a very social place, even if it is a bit loud and dusty. We don’t try to pretend to be anything we aren’t. We are just a local shop in the old market trying to do a decent job every day.
