M H Mangilal is our little spot over here in Makbara Bazar, right in the Patanpole area. We’ve been around this neighborhood for a while now. Most days are pretty much the same, opening up the doors and getting things ready for whoever walks in. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street and people moving about. We keep things simple at the shop. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Just the things people usually need. Sometimes the weather gets really hot, and we just sit under the fan waiting for the afternoon rush to settle down. It’s mostly locals who stop by, people who live a few streets away or are just passing through the bazar. We know a lot of the faces by now. Working here feels like being part of the furniture of the street. There’s always someone stopping to ask for directions or just saying hello while they do their errands. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It's just a regular business run by regular people. We try to keep the shelves stocked with what's needed most. If you’re walking through Patanpole, you’ll likely see us there. It's not a big place, but it serves its purpose for the community around here. We just take it one day at a time, keeping the place tidy and helping out whoever comes through the door.
