Lokesh Provision & General Store

Our store is right on the Kherli Phatak Main Road, which is a place that stays busy with people crossing the tracks. It’s a general store, so we try to keep a bit of everything, like snacks, toiletries, and household items. I spend my day mostly behind the counter, talking to neighbors and handing out items. The main road is always noisy, but you get used to it after a while. I don't use any fancy computer systems; I just write things down in my notebook and know where everything is kept. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when a big delivery arrives and we have to stack boxes in the aisles. It isn't a place for window shopping. People usually know exactly what they want when they walk in. I’ve seen kids grow up in this neighborhood, coming in for a chocolate and now coming in for their own kitchen supplies. It’s a local spot where we know who likes what brand of tea. The shelves are a bit old, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it works for us. We don't have any big corporate rules here. If someone is short a few rupees, they just pay me the next day. It’s about being part of the community here at Kherli Phatak. We just keep the doors open and do our work every day.
