Lokesh Picture & Gift Center

Lokesh Picture & Gift Center is located in Chothmata Bazar, right on DCM Road along Udyog Marg. It is a very active area with lots of other shops around us. We focus a lot on picture frames and local gift items. I’ve spent many years framing photos of families, gods, and special events for people in this neighborhood. The back of the shop usually has some wood scraps and glass pieces from the framing work I do during the day. It’s not the neatest place you’ll ever see, but it is where I work. I also keep a selection of gifts on the front shelves for people who need something quick. The bazaar gets very crowded in the evenings, and sometimes it is hard to even walk on the sidewalk outside. I usually keep a small fan going behind the counter because it gets quite hot in the summer months. My son helps me out with the heavy lifting and dealing with the suppliers who come by with new frames and pictures. We don't use any fancy sales talk here. People come in, show me what they want framed, or pick out a gift, and we settle it right there. It’s an honest way to make a living, and I enjoy talking to the different people who stop by. We’ve been part of this market for a long time and hope to stay for many more years serving the local community.
