Lakshkar Confectionery

Our shop is located right on Rangpur Road, not too far from Kota Junction. Being near the station means there is always someone passing by, whether they are catching a train or just living nearby. We started Lakshkar Confectionery because we wanted to have a place here. The shelves are filled with jars of sweets, biscuits, and different snacks that people like to pick up on their way somewhere. The road outside stays busy from early morning until late at night. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters and glass cases. It is hard work keeping everything tidy when so many people come in and out. We don't use any fancy systems, just a simple way of doing business. The staff here knows the locals well, and we often have a quick chat while we pack things up. It feels good to be a part of the daily life around the junction. We see the changes in the seasons from our front door, from the heavy rains to the dry summer heat. Our shop isn't very big, but it has everything we need to keep going. We just try to be helpful and make sure the snacks are fresh. It is a humble life, and we are okay with that. We just stay focused on our little corner of Rangpur Road. We try to keep the lights on late for those arriving on evening trains.
