Kuku General Store

The store is located right on the Gramin Police Line Road in the Borkheda area of Kota. It is a busy spot because of all the people living nearby and the police families too. We have a bit of everything here on the shelves. It is mostly a mix of general stuff like biscuits, tea, and cleaning supplies. Since it is Kota, we see a lot of students passing by, often stopping in for a quick snack or a pen. The dust from the road sometimes settles on the front display, so we spend a good amount of time dusting things off with a cloth. It is a simple setup with a counter in the front where we sit most of the day. The street can get quite noisy with the traffic going towards the police line, but inside it is just the sound of the radio or the ceiling fan. We try to keep the staples in stock, like different kinds of oil and rice, so the local families don't have to travel into the main city for small things. There are days when the stock arrives and we have piles of boxes everywhere, making it hard to move around for a few hours. It is just the way it goes. We know which neighbors like which brand of tea, and we try to keep it ready for them. It is just a small local shop trying to stay useful to the people in Borkheda.
