You can find us right at Kotri Kotwali Chouraha, at number ten. It is a busy spot with all the bikes and cars going around the circle all day long. Because of where we are, we get all sorts of people stopping in for random things they forgot to buy elsewhere. We carry a bit of everything, from notebooks for the school kids to washing powder for the house. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling and I have to use a long stick to reach some of the items on the top. It gets quite dusty with the wind blowing in from the chouraha. I spend a lot of time cleaning the jars and the glass counter with a cloth. We have been here quite a while so most of the regulars know my name and stop to say hello. Sometimes we run out of change and I have to go to the shop next door to ask for some coins. It is just a regular life here. I open the shutters early and don't close them until the sun has been down for a few hours. The noise from the intersection is something you just get used to after a week or two. It feels strange when it's quiet on holidays. We don't do any delivery or anything, people just walk in and take what they need from the racks themselves.
