King Batteries

King Batteries is a straightforward shop located at number 5 in the New Motor Market. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it is the place to go for anything related to vehicles. The whole area smells like diesel and old tires, and we fit right in with our stacks of heavy batteries. The shop is more of a workspace than a store, with concrete floors that have seen plenty of spills and metal racks that hold the inventory. We spend most of our hours lifting these heavy units, testing them, and making sure the connections are clean. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean for very long, but we don't mind the grease. New Motor Market is always humming with the sound of engines and people working on trucks. We have a small bench where we sit when things are slow, watching the traffic move through the narrow lanes of the market. There aren't any decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and maybe a few tools hanging up. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just open up in the morning, wait for the mechanics or drivers to come by, and do what needs to be done. It’s a simple, honest business that relies on hard work and being there when people need their machines to start. We lock up the shop once the sun goes down and the market noise finally starts to fade away.
