Kanchan Stones

We are over here at No. 57 in the Stone Mandi area of Anantpura. If you know the petrol pump, we are just right behind that. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot, getting everything ready in the yard. It is a lot of heavy lifting and managing the inventory we keep on site. Being in the Mandi means there is always truck traffic and noise, but that is just how things go around here. People come by asking about different types of stones and we show them what we have in stock at the moment. It is dusty work and your clothes never really stay clean for long. We have been in this spot for a while now. Some days are busier with deliveries arriving while other days we just spend time organizing the piles. It is not a fancy setup, just a practical place for handling stone. My office is small and usually has some papers scattered around. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the loading happens correctly. You can hear the sounds of the machines and the workers talking all day. It is a steady life and we know most of the neighbors around the petrol pump by now. It feels good to be part of the local trade here in Anantpura. We deal with what we have and try to keep things moving along without much fuss.
