Kailash Stone

Kailash Stone is located down in the Indraprastha Industrial Area at B-253 B-1. It's a bit of a dusty place because of all the stone cutting going on. We spend most of our mornings unloading trucks that come in from the quarries. The industrial area is always loud with machines. We have different types of stone sitting around in the yard. It’s not a showroom where everything is shiny and polished. You’ll see slabs leaning against the walls. We wear heavy boots because the floor is usually wet or covered in grit. People come here when they need something solid for a project. It’s just us and a few workers handling the heavy pieces. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. Dealing with stone is hard on the back, but it's what we know how to do. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just answer the phone and show people what's available in the yard right now. Sometimes a piece has a crack, so we have to move it aside and find another. It’s honest work. The sun gets hot in the afternoon out here in B-1. We keep a jug of water in the corner. If you need stone, this is where we keep it. It's a tough job but we're used to it.
