We've been up here on the first floor of the New Cloth Market for quite a while now. My father and brothers started Kabra & Sons to handle the local demand in Patanpole. It’s a busy spot, especially around noon when the shipments come in. We mostly deal with fabrics and different types of textiles that people need for their daily wear or bigger events. The stairs to the first floor are a bit narrow, but everyone around here knows where 190-191 is located. We keep things pretty simple. There's no fancy showroom or anything like that, just stacks of cloth and a couple of desks where we settle the bills. Sometimes the market gets really crowded, but we manage to get the work done. People come to us because they know we have what they need and we don't play games with the prices. It’s just us family members working together. We spend most of our day checking the stock and talking to the people who drop by. There is always tea being passed around while we discuss what’s in stock. If you walk through Patanpole, you’ll see the sign for the New Cloth Market eventually. It’s not a quiet place, but it's where we've spent most of our lives working. We just try to keep the business going one day at a time, making sure the orders are right and the inventory is where it should be. It's a lot of manual work, lifting rolls and counting meters, but it’s what we do.
