K. K. Medical & Gen Store

In Mahaveer Nagar, things can get pretty busy with all the people living in this part of Kota. Our shop is a mix of a medical store and a general store, so we see all kinds of situations. One person might come in looking for fever medicine and the next person just wants a packet of chips or a new pen. It makes the day interesting because you never know who is going to walk in. We keep the medicines in the glass cabinets behind the counter so they stay clean, but the rest of the shop is a bit more cluttered. There are stacks of diapers, bottles of juice, and even some basic stationery for the students who live nearby. The Rajasthan heat is no joke, so we have a desert cooler running in the corner that makes a lot of noise. Sometimes it is hard to hear what the customers are saying over the sound of the fan. We try to keep everything in stock, but sometimes the distributors are slow to bring the new batches of medicines. I spend a lot of time checking expiry dates and making sure the fridge for the vaccines is working right. It is a lot of responsibility but we just take it one day at a time. The shop isn't very large, and the tiles on the floor are a bit worn out from all the walking.
