Jinendra Jain Designer

We are located out in Village Kasar, right on the NH 12 near Rangbadi Main Road. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the center of town, but the highway makes it easy enough to find. I’m Jinendra Jain, and I do design work here. It’s not a big city studio. It’s more of a quiet place where I can focus on my drawings and plans. I work with a lot of people from the nearby villages and some from the city who are building houses out this way. I don't have a big team of assistants. It’s mostly just me sitting at my desk with my papers and a few tools. Sometimes the power goes out and I have to wait for it to come back to use the computer, so I just go back to sketching by hand. I’ve lived in this village for a long time, so I understand what kind of buildings work well with the local weather and the soil. I’m not into those super modern glass buildings that don't make sense here. I prefer things that are practical and will last. People stop by the shop on their way down the main road to ask questions or look at my sketches. It’s a slow pace of life, but it suits me well. I just do my best with each project that comes across my desk. It keeps me busy enough throughout the year.
