Jai Ram Kirana&General Store

We are located at the Main Circle in Keshavpura, right on Teen Batti Road in Kota. Our shop is called Jai Ram Kirana&General Store. If you live around here, you’ve probably walked past us many times. It’s a lively area, and being near the circle means there is always noise from the traffic. We sell groceries, pulses, spices, and all sorts of general items. The shop isn't very large, so we have stuff hanging from the ceiling and piled up in the corners. It can get a bit messy during the day when we are busy, but we try to tidy up before closing at night. I usually handle the customers while my helper brings things down from the top shelves. We have a lot of regular customers who live in the apartments nearby. They usually come in with a long list of items for the month. Sometimes we run out of certain brands because the warehouse had a delay, and then we have to explain it to everyone. It’s just how things go in this business. We keep a ledger for some of the regulars who pay at the end of the month. It’s a matter of trust in this neighborhood. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so it gets quite warm inside. We just keep the door open and wait for the evening breeze to kick in. It’s a simple way to earn a living, nothing fancy about it at all.
