Jag Confectioner

The shop sits right near the Kota Junction Main Station Road, so there is always noise from the trains and people rushing around. I usually get here early to open the shutters and start moving things around. It gets dusty pretty fast because of all the traffic outside, so cleaning the glass counters is the first thing I do every single morning. We have been in this spot for quite some time now. Most people who stop by are either catching a train or just getting off one and they look pretty tired. I see them coming in for a quick snack or something sweet before they head to wherever they are going. It isn't a fancy place, just a regular counter with some benches. The light inside is a bit dim in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building. Sometimes the fridge makes a humming sound that you just get used to after a while. I spend a lot of my day checking the stock and making sure things are where they should be. The station area is always busy, even late at night, so there is hardly any quiet time. We just keep the shelves filled with whatever people usually ask for when they are traveling. It’s mostly just me and a couple of guys helping out. We don’t talk much, just get the work done and keep the line moving when it gets crowded.
