Guru Nanak Confectionery Store

If you walk through Agrasen Bazar in Bajrang Nagar, you will find our confectionery store. It is tucked in among several other shops, and we have been here for a good amount of time. We sell all sorts of things like biscuits, toffees, and snacks that kids like. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack the boxes high to fit everything. In the mornings, I spend time cleaning the glass jars and sweeping the floor before the first customers show up. Usually, it is parents picking up something for their children's lunch boxes or people getting a quick snack on their way to work. We know most of the people who live around here. Sometimes they stop just to say hello even if they are not buying anything. The bazaar is always busy, especially in the evenings when everyone comes out to buy groceries. We have a small fan that keeps us cool during the hot months, but it doesn't do much when it gets really humid. We just keep the shelves stocked as best as we can. Dealing with different suppliers takes up some of our time too. It is a basic neighborhood shop where people can find what they need without any fuss. We don't do anything special, just show up every morning and wait for the customers to come in. It is a quiet way to make a living and we enjoy the daily talks.
