Gupta Mishthan Bhandar

We are located at 2 B 66 along the Kotri Jalaman Road. Being in the bazar area means there is never a quiet moment. Gupta Mishthan Bhandar is just a traditional sweet shop, really. We wake up early to start the batches of sweets. You can smell the sugar and ghee from the end of the street when the wind is right. The bazar is always full of people looking for something, and some of them end up at our counter. We have wooden shelves and glass cases that we spend a lot of time cleaning. It's a family-run kind of thing, so we all know what needs to be done. We don't use any modern machines for everything; a lot is still done by hand. The road outside is narrow and can get jammed up with carts and rickshaws. We just watch it all from behind the counter. It’s a simple life. We make the sweets, wrap them up, and talk to the customers about the weather. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming here with their own kids. That’s the nice thing about being in an old bazar like this. We don’t need a website or anything like that. People know where the Kotri Jalaman Road is and they know where to find us. We just keep doing what we know how to do, day after day. The stone floor in here stays cool even when the sun is out.
